Off-The-Job Safety - According to the U.S. Fire Administration, home electrical problems account for an estimated 67,800 fires in a typical year. A new device is on the market today to help curb this potential. The AFCI, is an electrical circuit breaker specifically designed to prevent electrical arc faults that can trigger fires in the home. This is not to be confused with a GFCI breaker which is designed to prevent electrocution. Contact an electrical contractor and obtain more information on the AFCI.
